About Northside

Northside Church of Christ welcomes all who would worship God in spirit and in truth. We believe in the divinity of Christ and the inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, and we strive to be a New Testament church — simple in worship, grounded in the Bible, and united in love for one another and for our community in Waxahachie.

The Christians who meet at Northside Church of Christ are a diverse group of caring people who endeavor to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our beliefs are rooted in the truth and proof that Jesus suffered and died for the sins of the whole world (I John 2:1-2). He was then buried, and God raised Him on the third day (I Corinthians 15:3-4). We learn this from the word of God which tells us what we must do to have hope of eternal.

As Jesus was raised from the dead to live forever more, the holy scriptures teach that we too can take part in this everlasting reward. We do so by obeying God’s simple plan to save all souls.

Below is God’s plan to save humankind from our sins?

1.First, we must hear the word of God (Romans 10:17);
2.Believe with all of our hearts that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (John 3:16; 8:21-24; Hebrews 11:6).
3.Confess that Jesus is the Christ (Matthew 10:32-33; Acts 8:36-38; Romans 10:10);
4.Repent of our past sins (Luke 13:3-5; Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19;
5.Be baptized for the remission of our sins (Acts 2:38) to be saved (1 Peter 3:21) have our sins washed away through baptism (Acts 22:16). In addition, we are also commanded to be buried with Christ, through baptism and raised out of this immersion to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3-4; John 3:5)
6.Remain faithful until death (Revelations 2:10)
7.Always love the brethren and maintain a desire to save lost souls (I Corinthians 13:1-3; John 13:35).

When we follow this simple plan of salvation, we have obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord will then add us to His church, which is His body (Acts 2:38-47; Ephesians 1:22- 23; Colossians 1:18; Matthew 16:18).
